A premier Trophy Whitetail and Registered and Commercial Cattle Ranch in the Texas Hill Country is seeking an experienced, hardworking, and trustworthy individual — preferably a couple — to join our established ranch team.

We are fortunate to have a great group of hardworking people already in place. We are looking to add an experienced ranch professional who can work alongside our team, bring additional knowledge and leadership to the operation, and help coordinate the many moving parts of a busy whitetail, cattle, hunting, and hospitality ranch.

This is a hands-on position. We are looking for someone who is just as comfortable working cattle, checking deer, repairing a fence, operating equipment, or solving a problem in the field as they are helping organize the day’s priorities.

For a couple, one person would primarily focus on livestock, wildlife, equipment, maintenance, and ranch operations, while the other would primarily assist with guest accommodations, housekeeping, meal preparation, organization, and general ranch support. Both should be willing to step in wherever needed.

DAY-TO-DAY RANCH & LIVESTOCK OPERATIONS

  • Daily observation, feeding, and care of registered cattle and whitetail deer
  • Monitor animal health and assist with treatments as needed
  • Work and handle cattle and whitetail deer
  • Assist with breeding programs, AI/ET activities, fawning, weaning, and other seasonal livestock work
  • Maintain accurate cattle and whitetail records and inventories
  • Check and maintain feeders and water systems
  • Monitor pastures, pens, fencing, and livestock facilities
  • Operate tractors, UTVs, ranch vehicles, and other ranch equipment
  • Perform or coordinate routine equipment and vehicle maintenance
  • Fence repair, plumbing, water-line repair, and general ranch maintenance
  • Assist with hay production and pasture management
  • Help prioritize and coordinate daily ranch activities with our existing team
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe barns, facilities, equipment, and work areas
  • Property oversight and security

HUNTING & WILDLIFE OPERATIONS

  • Experienced trophy whitetail hunting guide
  • Guide ranch guests on trophy whitetail hunts and provide a professional, first-class hunting experience
  • Ability to field judge mature trophy whitetail deer
  • Assist hunters before, during, and after the hunt
  • Maintain feeders, blinds, game cameras, and hunting areas
  • Assist with game recovery, field care, and other hunting-related responsibilities
  • Help prepare ranch facilities and hunting areas prior to hunting season
  • Assist with general wildlife and ranch management throughout the year

HOSPITALITY & RANCH SUPPORT

For a couple, the second position would primarily assist in these areas:

  • Prepare and maintain lodge, cabins, and guest accommodations
  • Housekeeping and laundry
  • Assist with meal preparation for hunters and ranch guests
  • Maintain guest and household supplies
  • Help prepare for arriving and departing guests
  • Provide additional ranch support wherever needed during busy periods

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Significant hands-on ranch, cattle, agricultural, wildlife, or hunting experience
  • Strong cattle-handling experience preferred
  • Whitetail deer experience is highly desirable
  • Knowledge of livestock health, breeding, and pasture management
  • Mechanical and equipment experience strongly preferred
  • Fencing, welding, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, or general construction skills are a plus
  • Leadership ability and willingness to lead by example
  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail
  • Honest, dependable, trustworthy, and self-motivated
  • Able to recognize what needs to be done without always being directed
  • Good communication and organizational skills
  • Comfortable working outdoors in Texas weather
  • Willing to work longer hours, weekends, and occasional evenings when ranch operations require it
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record required

POSITION & HOUSING

  • Full-time, year-round position
  • Furnished on-site apartment provided
  • Utilities included
  • Compensation based on experience and qualifications
  • Long-term opportunity for the right individual or couple
  • Paid vacation time.  Due to the seasonal nature of our operation, vacation time may not be taken during hunting season or other designated peak periods.

We are looking for someone who wants to become an important part of our ranch operation and team, not simply fill a position. We value experience, leadership, teamwork, dependability, pride in the ranch, and above all, proper care of our animals.
