Looking for a self-starter that participates in the day-to-day operations of a working cattle ranch and hay operation. Learn directly from the ranch owner. Great position for someone with limited experience. Must be honest and willing to learn along with having a good attitude.

Duties will include but are not limited to:
1 year knowledge in handling cattle, calving, general rural ranch caretaking in the tasks listed below:

Changing water (gated pipe) on flood irrigated meadows during spring and summer months.
Maintaining gated pipe, clearing screens and associated up keep of irrigation system.
Haying 2 to 3 times a year.
Seasonal farming and equipment operation.
Fencing and occasional retrieval/denial of cattle from neighboring properties.
Checking and occasionally moving cattle, feeding, help with calving season and branding.
Road maintenance, tree trimming, log removal.
Light mechanical and vehicle maintenance.
Occasional weed & brush control in spring/summer.
Ranch care-taking.

Salary is negotiable – Housing is included – Yearly paid vacation.
